Mind control or Sense control?

This thing stuck me on the way to work - Sense control is all about Mind control. "Senses" by themselves are not on their own. The mind drives the senses.

So according to our discussion - if we can fill our mind with various positive activities, then the mind will not pursue the negative activities.

So for example, may be working out for physical exercise is a more positive pursuit than being a couch potato watching TV. But even in that case taken to an extreme, if one is obsessed with their body and its shape - it is not a positive thing right?

Filling our minds with godly thoughts & activities has brightened my day over past week.

I have started the day by listening to veda cd's and practicising chanting them everyday while driving to work. I have sub-consiously avoided in the same way to avoid listening to sports talk radio or news radio talking about wars and other stuff. This has really motivated and sharpened my day-to-day activities this week.It has provided a new sense of looking @ things in a different way
